Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Family Support Worker to join our team in Belfast. In this role, you will provide direct support to our families, helping them navigate challenges, access resources, and build resilience. You will work closely with families, community organisations, and professionals to deliver tailored support that meets individual needs. Key Responsibilities: Family Support Services: Assess the needs of families and develop tailored support plans. Provide emotional and practical support to carers and children. Assist families in accessing benefits, services, and community resources. Advocacy and Guidance: Advocate on behalf of families with social services, schools, and other organisations. Offer guidance on navigating legal, financial, and care-related challenges. Ensure families understand their rights and available support systems. Community Engagement: Build relationships with local organisations and professionals to enhance support networks. Organise and facilitate workshops, support groups, and training sessions for carers and families. Promote our work within the community. Administrative Duties: Maintain accurate records of family interactions and progress. Prepare reports and updates for management and stakeholders. Ensure all work complies with safeguarding policies and procedures. Organise work shops and activities and attend these Qualifications and Skills Required: Experience in a similar support role, ideally working with families or children. A background in social work, family support, or community care (relevant qualifications are desirable). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with families. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and relevant legislation. Proficiency in IT, including Microsoft Office. Why Join Us?
