Job Description We are seeking an experienced Design Quality Engineer with a keen interest in F1 engineering processes, optimising design procedures and information flow to join our F1 engineering office at Williams Racing. The successful candidate will be someone with a desire to develop and document the processes and methods which support Vehicle Design, while ensuring the Design output supports the needs of our partner departments. As a Design Quality Engineer, you will: Define new engineering standards and processes. Contribute to the development of: - Engineering data processes. - Engineering data discoverability. - Document management, organisation, and discoverability. - CAD functionality, PLM workflows, and Digital Mock Up. - Software automation. - SharePoint sites and workflows. Communicate with and support Vehicle Design colleagues to succeed in their tasks. Build working relationships and keep customers up to date with your projects at a regular cadence. Provide cover for colleagues from time to time - for example in processing revisions that release car components to manufacturing. Highlight any instances of sub-standard data quality, compliance, and consistency across the WF1 systems. Provide data analysis and develop methods and processes to extract and present data. Our ideal candidate is someone who has: Excellent communication skills, both written, verbal, and non-verbal. Logical thinking, with an affinity for computerised systems and processes. Experience using CAD, PLM use and project planning knowledge. An engineering qualification at degree level or equivalent. Enjoys problem solving, thinking critically, and working with others. An open mind-set, with a positive attitude to change and a collaborative approach.
