Based in our vibrant central London office, you will work closely with the senior management team, collaborating with all functional areas to drive the business forward. Taking full ownership of the finance function, you’ll lead our small internal finance team while managing our outsourced accountancy service provider to ensure smooth and efficient day-to-day operations. You’ll also partner with our commercial and technical teams to introduce process improvements, enhance systems, and provide valuable financial insights that will support strategic decision-making. Our ideal person will be a quick learner, naturally highly organised, proactive, and an engaging personality who is able develop great relationships with their team and clients. Requirements Fully qualified, preferably CIMA, with 5 years minimum PQE Experience of taking a senior leadership role in a mid-sized finance team, comfortable with swift decision making and taking personal responsibility Experience with managing, coaching and developing team members at all levels Confident working with different currencies and tax regimes across multiple international jurisdictions Excellent at building credible relationships and managing senior stakeholders both internally and externally, across a large supplier and client base A hands on problem solver with a relentless drive for improvement A true multitasker, comfortable managing multiple workloads, projects and priorities Excellent communication skills Advantageous experience Accustomed to a fast paced scale up environment with continual change and evolution Detailed knowledge of using Google Sheets, Excel and Xero Experience of balancing the day to day requirements of the finance function, with the need to drive and implement new systems, enhanced processes and better behaviours A background in recruitment or HR tech would be highly advantageous Experience in a fast-paced B2B business or scale up environment is desirable Key Responsibilities Work with the senior management team on strategy and stewardship of the business Translate agreed strategic initiatives in to financial plans, budgets and forecasts Monitor cash flow, business activity and financial performance against agreed budget and KPIs Supervise P&L, cost analysis and the delivery of monthly management accounts Devise, monitor and promote internal policies and procedures to improve performance and efficiency and ensure compliance Manage and develop our inhouse finance team, ensuring the provision of an excellent finance function to both internal stakeholders and external customers Work with our third party accountancy provider to ensure timely and accurate provision of payroll, audit and wider compliance requirements Provide financial and commercial input on the merits and validity of new product ideas, services, projects or partnerships Undertake financial modelling to support strategic business planning, examining scenarios, margins, risks and potential revenues Work with our implementation partner to review our accounting system Xero to determine how best to enhance, scale or replace it in order to support the next stage of business development Work with the CEO, COO and board on shareholder management and investment proposals Work with the wider business to provide input and ideas to help improve processes, prioritise resources and develop our services to better meet the needs of our customers.
