Technical Sales Engineer - Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join a leading international construction and engineering organization that offers innovative products to the subsidence and Ground Engineering sector, primarily serving the London and Bristol areas. The ideal candidate will be based along the M4 corridor and will facilitate the delivery of specialist Geotechnical services to clients nationwide within the Residential market. The company specializes in Ground Stabilization and Subsidence solutions.
The candidate should have an engineering background or experience in loss adjusting, with preferably some sales experience and an interest in market growth. This is a full-time, permanent role suited for an experienced professional who enjoys relationship building, with ambitions to become a top salesperson in a thriving market.
Position Overview
1. Handle warm inbound leads generated via the website.
2. Leverage contacts to generate new leads and sales within the residential sector.
3. Utilize CRM and lead generation software.
4. Pre-qualify inbound leads, arrange site visits, and produce tailored quotes.
5. Follow up to close sales.
6. This is a consultative sales role, focused on providing solutions and building relationships rather than hard selling on-site.
7. Develop relationships with clients and prospects.
8. Create targeted strategies to generate new sales.
9. Work towards securing local authority contracts and large frameworks.
Requirements
* Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
* Good knowledge of subsidence and ground engineering sectors.
* Sales experience in subsidence or loss adjusting.
* Experience in designing subsidence solutions and substructures.
* Technical background in buildings, construction, and ground conditions such as stabilization, sinking floors, foundation issues, and void filling.
* Experience in face-to-face B2C and B2B sales.
* Strong business development skills to convert quotes into sales.
* Ideally located in West London or Bristol.
* Proactive attitude with a desire to secure major contracts.
Remuneration
* £45,000 - £47,500 base salary, DOE.
* Commission of 1.5% upon target achievement, 2.5% for overachievement.
* Company car – Tesla (approx. £35/month BIK).
* Benefits include pension, 20 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, Christmas shutdown, profit sharing.
