If so we may have just the role for you Our remarkable adult services programme is recruiting for a skilled Male Support Worker to join our Waking Night team working in Muscliffe on a part time basis. Previous care experience is not essential - maybe you have been inspired by looking after someone close to you or fancy a career changing into something that makes a real difference. Due to the nature of the people we support, we can only accept applications from male candidates who have a strong background in health and social care, along with experience of autism or complex care. The role: Our purpose in adult services is to empower the people we support to live as independently as possible and see them thrive. Each person we help has their own unique way of communicating, whether this be PECs boards, signalong or through repeating specific phrases. If you’ve not used signalong previously, don't worry as training is provided At the heart of everything we do is promoting the independence of the people we support, and ensuring we have a relaxed, empathetic and encouraging team working with us to help ensure they achieve their goals. Unfortunately, this is not a position that we can offer sponsorship for, under the skilled worker route. Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights - 10pm - 8am A Waking Night support workers job would include: Staying alert throughout the shift Administering any necessary medication Completing documentation at regular periods throughout shift Following the support plan in place for each person we support, to enable the person to feel comfortable and happy, adapting this as required based on change in behaviour Providing some elements of personal care from personal hygiene prompts, helping to bath and wash, medication Take a look at what our management Sam thinks of our role Why join us?
