We’re looking for 3 x full time Qualified Nursery Practitioners to work 40 hours, fully flexible at our Fishersgate setting. At Kiddie Capers Fishersgate, we provide a stimulating and enabling environment for children aged 0-5 years old, located near the Eastbrook Manor Community Centre and Shark Park. Our nursery offers a unique outdoor space, including a surrounding field and park, where children can explore and relate their experiences to their everyday life. They can observe export and shipping boats and the power station, while enjoying the fresh air and surroundings. Our nursery also features a wrap-around garden, providing ample space for children to be creative and let their imagination flow. We have dedicated areas for babies, toddlers, and pre-schoolers, with a separate private entrance for the baby group. The babies spend time on the first floor in a spacious room, where they explore sensory resources, listen to stories, learn new skills, and build strong bonds with our staff. There is also a separate sleep room and dining area, as well as a transitional room for when they're ready to move to the main building. The main building for 2 years up also have their own entrance and the main room is divided into two areas: one for 2-year-olds and another for 3-5-year-olds. This allows our experienced staff to build strong relationships with all the children in our care. We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, creating activities that cater to each child's unique needs and promoting their holistic growth across various areas of development. Monitor, assess, record and report on their development and progress Follow the Early Years Foundation Stage framework for guidance in your practice with the children Work in partnership with parents and carers Be aware of child protection issues by following the nursery’s Safeguarding Children policies and procedures and ensure close monitoring of children about whom there are concerns Participate in professional development and training Work in partnership with other early years professionals and outside agencies Prepare and serve food, milk, drink and snacks to children Assist children with personal care, including changing nappies, assisting with potty training and other associated welfare duties Carry out health and safety checks as required to ensure the unit is tidy, safe, clean and secure for children, staff, parents/carers and visitors Ensure your key children’s Learning Journeys are kept up to date with planning for their individual needs, the environment, observations, photographic and/or video evidence Be responsible for your unit, report when resources run low, including wipes, aprons, gloves, art equipment, snack items etc. Participate in free flow systems. This aids children’s development in self-assurance, independence, making choices and self-selecting.
