We are looking for enthusiastic and flexible individuals to work within the Facilities team at Quedgeley Clinic, Quedgeley Gloucester. The role will involve cleaning at Quedgeley Clinic, a large building of offices and clinic rooms for the NHS, with the opportunity to work bank hours at our hospital Wotton Lawn.
If you enjoy working in an active and busy role with a team around you, and have great communication skills, with previous experience in catering or cleaning, we welcome your application.
This post requires the post holder to undertake all statutory and mandatory training and must be able to undertake physical interventions. Fitness for physical intervention will be assessed by Occupational Health.
Main duties of the job
1. Ensure the cleanliness of the environment in accordance with the National Specification of Cleanliness 2007 or equivalent and to the agreed work schedules.
2. Be responsible for maintaining and replenishing stocks of consumable items used within the department.
3. Adhere to all aspects of Infection Control in all areas of work.
4. Follow local procedures for reporting areas cleaned and highlighting issues.
5. Undertake enhanced cleaning duties under the direction of the Facilities Supervisor.
6. Report maintenance faults, building fabric issues, pests, and other concerns to the Facilities Supervisor.
7. Collection, segregation, and storage of waste according to local procedures and the Trust’s Waste policy.
8. Ensure patient confidentiality, privacy, and dignity is maintained throughout your work.
Person specification
* NVQ in Cleaning or equivalent qualification or experience (Essential)
* Good literacy skills (Essential)
* Basic understanding of cleaning and catering procedures
* Previous experience of cleaning and catering duties within a similar working environment
