Mechanical Maintenance Technician
Salary – £47,842.56 per annum (plus benefits)
Hours – 40 hours per week, 7.30am to 3.30pm

As a Mechanical Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring the effective performance of the plant’s mechanical equipment and systems through scheduled maintenance, fault-finding, breakdown and inspection activities. You’ll work under the direction of the Maintenance Manager to maximise the plant’s availability and efficiency, while adhering to high safety and environmental standards.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working 5 days per week on a shift rota between Monday to Sunday.

What will you be doing?
- Troubleshooting, performing routine, scheduled, and major repairs, as well as preventative maintenance on all site mechanical, pressure, and lifting systems and associated equipment. This includes monitoring for changes in operating conditions.
- Testing and calibrating mechanical systems and field equipment in line with OEM supplier requirements and industry best practices.
- Providing technical support to operations and other on-site teams to ensure smooth and efficient performance.
- Actively participating in company and site projects and initiatives as needed.
- Supporting the planning, scheduling, co-ordination, and management of outages.
- Conducting preventative maintenance, overhauls, and repairs on mechanical equipment and systems such as overhead cranes, grabs, pumps, fans, valves, actuators, mechanical drives, and assemblies.
What are we looking for?
- A City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline (or equivalent experience if qualifications are lower).
