An industry leading manufacturer is looking for a Warehouse Team Leader to work within their Supply Chain team at their site in Kent.
The focus of the position will be to manage a team of 15, ensuring the receiving and shipping of goods as well as stock rotation is managed accurately. The role is a days based position Monday to Friday (8.30am – 4.30pm).
Key day to day tasks will include:
1. Responsible for the planning and assignment of daily tasks for Warehouse Operatives
2. Management of stock and inventories via SAP, maintaining usage data to support the Inventory Analyst
3. To attend and facilitate the running of daily Warehouse Gemba meetings and team leader meetings.
4. Support the Distribution & Logistics Manager when raising purchase requests, working to company budgets and restraints.
5. Working alongside other managers and departments to review daily workload and resource requirements
6. To ensure near misses are correctly recorded, learning from incidents and implementing preventative measures
7. People management responsibilities including recruitment, new staff inductions, absence and/or disciplinary meetings
To be considered for this opportunity you will need to have relevant people management experience within a warehouse environment. Good PC and systems experience (ie SAP or WMS) is also required as is a good understanding of Health and Safety. Candidates will need to hold at least 5 GCSEs.
