Murray Recruitment are recruiting a permanent Hire Controller for our client based in South Lanarkshire. Role Overview: This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-growing business within the construction support sector. The Hire Controller will play a crucial role in coordinating hire and service arrangements for customers and construction companies. The role demands a high level of customer service and professionalism, with the chance to work in a supportive, team-focused environment. Key Responsibilities: Respond promptly to customer enquiries regarding plant and services. Manage and monitor incoming enquiries via telephone, website, and email. Ensure all enquiries are responded to within the hour, following internal guidance. Engage in a range of administrative tasks, including filing and purchase ledger support. Maintain regular contact with drivers and assist in resolving any service issues. Collaborate with the yard team to ensure daily operational readiness. Process and confirm off-hires in a timely and accurate manner. Promote and maintain a safe working environment. Build and maintain strong client relationships through ongoing communication. Work collaboratively within a small, close-knit team with a positive and humorous approach. Skills & Experience: Previous experience in a similar Administrator position is highly desirable. High attention to detail and accuracy. Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook Offering: Salary from £26,984 per annum. Hours Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Holidays 28 days including bank holidays Company pension scheme. Free on-site parking.
