We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Site-Based Construction Project Manager to oversee a new build retail store valued at £4 million.
Role Overview: As the Site-Based Project Manager for this exciting retail development, you will be responsible for the end-to-end management of the project. From initial groundworks to final fit-out, you will ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with strong leadership skills and a passion for delivering successful construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Project Management: Lead and manage all aspects of the new build retail store project, ensuring it is completed to specification, on time, and following the Company processes.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and motivate a team of contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring clear communication and a collaborative working environment.
* Budget & Schedule Management: Monitor project costs and schedules, providing regular updates to senior management, and addressing any risks or delays promptly.
* Quality Control: Oversee quality assurance and control measures, ensuring the highest standards of workmanship and finishes are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
* Client Liaison: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project.
* Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently, mitigating any impact on the project’s timeline or budget.
Key Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Project Manager in the construction industry, with a focus on retail or commercial new builds.
* Strong experience managing projects of a similar scale (£4m+) and complexity.
* Excellent knowledge of project management software, construction methodologies, and health and safety regulations.
* Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple subcontractors effectively.
* A relevant degree or professional qualification in Construction Management or similar.
* A proactive and hands-on approach, with the ability to manage on-site challenges and solve problems as they arise with the design Team.
