The CMM Programmer role: With the Senior leadership team focusing on business growth, the company is expanding its manufacturing operation at their Nottingham site through further shop floor investment. As a result, they have an immediate permanent opportunity for an experienced CMM Programmer on a fixed afternoon shift. Responsibilities: Responsible for CMM Part programming using M-Cosmos or PCDMIS software and supporting technical questions. Supporting first piece part inspection checks. Participates in problem solving analysis and solutions as requested. Required Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: HS Diploma/equivalent. Skills and Experience: Must have experience of CMM Part programming using M-Cosmos or PCDMIS software. Must have experience of CMM Offline programming. 6 years of previous visual and dimensional inspection experience inspecting complex parts using inspection tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauge, gage pins, optical comparators, etc. Subject Matter Expert (SME) in inspecting all types of complex parts, across various types of equipment. Experience inspecting parts with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T.) Experience with optical inspection systems, such as Keyence and OGP is preferred. Ability to read and interpret mechanical part and assembly drawings. Good computer skills and the ability to apply basic shop math is required. Close visual attention, reasoning, and judgment are required. Experience in precision engineering in Aerospace, Automotive, Motorsport, Defence, Nuclear, Oil and Gas or Medical industries preferable.
