Mobile Plant Fitter Preston Competitive Salary Overview: We are currently recruiting for a skilled and experienced Mobile Plant Fitter with experience of welding and fabricating, this is an excellent opportunity where you'll play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing a variety of mobile plant and equipment. The Role: As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will: Repair and maintain a wide range of mobile plant equipment. Service and repair mobile plant engines, including engine overhauls and diagnostics. Fabricate simple repairs to keep plant machinery in top condition. Order and fit spare parts to ensure minimal downtime and efficient repairs. Accurately complete paperwork for traceability and audits. Manage your workload to ensure plant equipment is ready when needed. Work on various plant equipment, including 360-degree excavators, shovels, FLT's, tractor & trailer units, teleporters, crushers, bailers, and conveyor systems. Carry out service inspections and ensure all equipment complies with safety and quality standards. What We're Looking For: A proven hands on Mechanical Engineer with experience in mobile plant maintenance and repair. Proficiency in diesel and gas engine diagnostics and repairs. Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems. Hands-on experience with HGV and construction machinery. Ability to perform welding and fabrication tasks.
