Driver / General Assistant Horney, London Minimum 6 month Contract The Principal objective of the Records Management Driver / General Assistant is to develop and sustain activities that ensure maximum profit and optimum customer service. You will also be responsible for ensuring accuracy and compliance is achieved at all times. Main Duties: Responsible for timely delivery and collection of incoming and outgoing items for storage and ensuring that the records of the completed jobs are maintained accurately by indexing, scanning and storing the documents correctly Responsible for ensuring accurate records of customer and company documentation Complete all driver related and/or store checks accurately and report anomalies, resolve where appropriate and present to the Store Manager for review; maintain and complete the daily operations within the store Ensure correct use of company equipment at all times Heavy lifting of storage items is necessary and will need to ensure that any lifting complies with H&S and manual handling techniques and regulations Ensure that basic safety and maintenance checks are regularly carried out on the vehicle alongside keeping the vehicle at a high standard of cleanliness. Report and/or follow up with the correct departments and Regional Manager about all required repairs, maintenance issues or concerns, closing off once fully and appropriately completed/resolved Take an active part in Team Meetings To ensure that all Health & Safety Policies & Procedures are adhered to for the benefit of customers and staff alike May occasionally be required to deal effectively with sales or general enquiries from customers over the telephone and face to face, including advising and selling the range of available services to potential and existing customers.
