We currently have an opportunity to join East Suffolk Council's Property and Place Team as a Technical Support Officer. The role You will assist the Land Assets Lead to support the delivery of assurance, information and management control regarding the management of all land-based assets within East Suffolk Council general fund. They will assist in delivery of reactive repairs, planned preventative maintenance and capital project work at a level to both challenge and build upon their skills and competencies as they progress in their career. One of the primary areas of routine duties will be to monitor play area inspection that are carried out by our contractors and to investigate and instruct appropriate remedial measures. The post holder will work with other members of the Land Assets Team as and when required to fulfil a range of duties and gain experience. The post will report directly to the Land Assets Lead. Land Assets work alongside other functions within Property and Place, including Property, Data, Estates, Resorts and Parking Services providing support as appropriately agreed. We also liaise with our wider colleague including Corporate Health and Safety Team, Planning and Development, Communities and Regeneration, to ensure that existing and future land assets are effectively managed and developed. The team has a customer focused attitude to ensure both internal and external stakeholders receive a first-class service in all matters relating to the land assets. What you will need For band 4 entry, you will have some experience of maintenance and remedial services on scheduled and reactive works as well as being able to demonstrate relevant experience within asset management administration. For band 5 entry, you will have sound working knowledge of maintenance schedules and knowledge of various reactive scenarios and the running of planned maintenance schedules. For band 6 entry, you will have in depth knowledge of a range of land based services and features and their construction and maintenance requirements and the ability to collect and analyse complex information, to consider and evaluate all relevant factors, and draw logical and reasoned conclusion.
