The production support engineering team is at the forefront of supporting operations in making delivery to customers. We are involved from the supply chain to aftermarket so there is exposure to a huge range of tasks with no two days being the same. Due to growing demand and increasing order book, there is an opportunity for an additional team member.

What you’ll do:
As a Production Support Engineer, reporting to the Production Support Lead Engineer, your main responsibilities will involve:
* Acting as the engineering point of contact for the AAR build line and test facility, providing guidance and direction to minimize manufacturing delays.
* Attending Material Review Board meetings to disposition non-conforming hardware and work towards Lead Engineer approval for Non-conformance Reports (NC’s).
* Participating in Product Integrity Council meetings to address quality escapes.
* Reviewing supplier queries regarding parts, often addressing obsolescence issues or design questions.
* Managing engineering changes (drawings and test procedures) through the change review board process to drive continuous improvement and incorporate effective systems engineering practices.
* Managing corrective and preventative actions (CAPA’s) utilizing root cause analysis tools (5WHY’s, 8D, etc.) where necessary.
* Liaising with cross-functional engineering subject matter experts and drawing on their experience to support engineering output.
* Integrating closely with Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Procurement, and Program functions to ensure immediate delivery priorities are met.
Qualifications:
You will have experience in one or more of the following areas: mechanical, electro-mechanical, fluid, mechanisms, or structures.
Skills:
* You are motivated and proactive, driving solutions to completion.
* You can juggle multiple tasks and remain composed under pressure.
* You will hold a minimum of a Higher National Certificate (HNC) in an engineering-related field plus an apprenticeship or an engineering degree with at least 5 years of postgraduate experience.
* You are a natural problem solver with a solutions-focused mindset.
* You are a people person and can integrate into the production support engineering team, maintaining positive relationships with all customers.
