Your Role
As our business unit continues to grow, we’re on the lookout for a passionate and proven professional to support our bustling Sevington site. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you’ll have the autonomy to efficiently manage day-to-day operations, ensuring effective budget management, efficiency, and service standards. With a 37.5-hour workweek (Monday to Friday), you’ll take ownership of a dynamic environment where leadership, direction, and guidance drive our success
Your Responsibilities
1. Reporting directly to the General Manager. you will manage the day to day operation to ensure effective management of the budget, efficiency and service standards of the total operation.
2. Manage all aspects of performance to ensure compliance with agreed KPIs.
3. Responsible for Quality, Safety, Health and environment and all legal compliance within the operation.
4. Playing a vital role in shaping the culture and approach of the workforce. This will include supporting and developing the team through leading, coaching and communicating – facilitating a focus on business excellence and continuous improvement of operational efficiency and customer service standards.
5. Planning, reviewing and communicating operational requirements and changes across departments, so that KPI’s and customer service levels are met.
6. Develop and implement new initiatives for continued operational and service improvements.
7. Preparation of operational plans within budgets for inspection activities.
Your Skills and Experiences
8. Proven management experience of operating within a commercial operation.
9. Past operating experience within multi site logistics operations.
10. Experience in managing employee relations and customer/trading relations.
11. Exposure to operating within a commercial environment sufficient to develop effective customer service and commercial understanding.
12. People management and line management experience.
13. Working knowledge of Health and Safety and Legal compliance.
