Role Title: Business Support & Marketing Specialist
Hours: 22.5hrs (Part Time, 3 days a week)

Hugo Technology operates in the healthcare sector, offering a comprehensive service specialising in maintaining, calibrating and repairing medical and laboratory equipment to Original Equipment Manufacturer’s specifications. Based in Bromsgrove, Hugo offers a national service both through its local workshops and a network of employed field service engineers and has turnover of approximately £6m.
Hugo is owned by Asker Healthcare Group, a leading player in the European Healthcare market supplying products and services across a wide range of countries and markets.
Outline of the role
We are seeking a tenured and versatile Business Support & Marketing Specialist to support our business development, sales and marketing initiatives. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys a mix of marketing, sales and administrative responsibilities, and has a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
Brand Management, Marketing & Digital Strategy
1. Take ownership of SEO management to drive online visibility and lead generation.
2. Manage, optimise and continuously improve the company website, ensuring it aligns with SEO best practices and business objectives.
3. Implement and oversee digital marketing campaigns, including email marketing, social media management and content creation.
4. Track, analyse and report the success of campaigns and events.
5. Develop PowerPoint presentations, targeted business case proposals and marketing materials.
6. Develop and manage the company’s corporate brand identity.
7. Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels, trade events and corporate materials.
8. Work closely with the Business Manager to align marketing efforts with business objectives.
Sales & Business Development Support
1. Identify and source new leads through market research and outreach by engaging with prospective client’s decision makers.
2. Manage CRM data, track sales pipeline and follow up on leads.
3. Conduct cold calls and outreach to prospective clients.
4. Support the Business Manager in meetings and with presentations.
Trade Shows and Events
1. Research, plan, organise and attend industry relevant shows, including managing logistics and exhibiting at events.
2. Engage with existing and potential clients at events to generate new business opportunities.
General Business Support & Ad Hoc Tasks
1. Preparing business reports and analysis by utilising the company ERP system and available tools.
2. Support in administrative tasks related to business development and marketing.
3. Coordinate internal and external communications as needed.
Required Skills & Experience
1. Previous experience in business support, sales and marketing within the healthcare sector.
2. Proven ability to engage with and market to Original Equipment Manufacturer decision makers in the healthcare sector.
3. Relevant certifications and qualifications in SEO and Marketing.
4. Proficiency in creating high quality presentations and reports using PowerPoint, Excel and other Microsoft packages.
5. Experience utilising CRM systems to track leads and sales activities.
6. Confident in cold calling and proactive outreach to potential clients’ decision makers.
7. Ability to plan and manage trade shows and business events.
8. Strong communication and organisational skills.
