Your Role
The Facilities & Premises Management Assistant will support the Head of Facilities and Premises Management, delivering programmes of work to maintain and improve our facilities and office spaces. This includes supporting key internal and external stakeholder relationships, implementing effective planning and communications and ensuring we are monitoring and reporting on our impact – aligned to our purpose-led strategy).
Whilst you will be based in your local office, which is Sheffield, you may be supporting other colleagues based nationally in other locations.
This business administration apprentice roleis designed to teach valuable administration skills, and give you experience of working in a busy office and in particular becoming knowledgeable in the facilities and premises management arena.
Your main responsibilities within the department will include the following:
1. Support the delivery of high levels of client communication. Providing support wherever possible across the team and clients by dealing with queries and enquiries Manage and maintain the facilities and premises data spreadsheets.
2. Managing correspondence and relationships across our facilities and premises network.
3. Maintain, write and coordinate relevant materials.
4. Ensuring that facilities and premises policies are regularly reviewed and updated as necessary.
5. Responsible for processing and keeping records of our relevant invoices in line with our governance.
6. Provide support with a variety of projects such as office openings and relocations.
7. Work with the internal communications team to ensure colleagues are updated on facilities and property issues and events.
8. Support the wider Facilities and Premises Management team including Health and Safety with a range of ad hoc duties.
9. Facilities Management Support: Assist in the day-to-day management of all office facilities, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-maintained working environment.
10. Health and Safety Compliance: Support the implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
11. Supplier Management: Liaise with external contractors and service providers to ensure high-quality service delivery and manage contracts effectively.
12. Office Moves and Space Planning: Assist with office moves, space planning, and the setup of workstations and meeting rooms.
13. Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the Facilities & Premises Management team, including handling enquiries, maintaining records, and preparing reports.
14. as a point of contact for emergency situations, coordinating responses and ensuring appropriate actions are taken.

This is a 24-month apprenticeship perfect for anyone who wants to gain hands-on business administration experience at the UK’s largest full-service law firm.
This apprenticeship is a good alternative to university, as it gives you the chance to earn while you learn. It also helps you to work towards the Level 3 business administration apprenticeship, helping to develop your career from day one.
What will I study?
The academic part of the apprenticeship is delivered by our apprenticeship training provider Damar via distance learning. You will obtain a level 3 apprenticeship in Business Administration.

What are the entry requirements?
You’ll need 5 GCSEs at grade A* to C or 9 to 4, including Maths and English in order to meet the minimum academic requirements needed to complete this apprenticeship.

When you finish your apprenticeship, you will obtain a level 3 business administration apprenticeship.
