Chrisp St Health Centre is looking for a salaried GP or GP consideringpartnership.
5 or 7 clinical sessions + 1 admin, when covering a list. We will consider more sessions. (Aninterest in teaching desirable)

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
To provide general practice consultations to patients and, where appropriate, physical examinations for the purposes of identifying or reducing the risk of disease or injury.

About us
Our Health Centre was purpose-built in 1987 and is owned and maintainedby the Partners. It has 20 clinical rooms, plus a large educational room,undergraduate training rooms, and an administrative wing which provides officespace for our administrators, secretaries, and managers.
The practice has a shared belief in the delivery of high quality,patient-centred, and evidence based health care. Patients interests are keptto the fore and there is a strong emphasis on continuity of care and acommitment to continue developing patient services. Every patient and theirfamily are allocated to a named GP upon registration. They are encouraged tosee that GP for their routine care, though we understand that on occasions apatient may wish to see a different doctor about specific problems.
We are part of the Poplar & Limehouse Health & WellbeingNetwork, along with 3 other local practices, which formed in 2006 to workcollectively and improve health care provision in areas such as heart diseaseand diabetic care.
Partners have held external roles locally that complement the clinicalwork such as lecturer posts at Queen Mary University of London and leadershiproles at the CCG and the Local Medical Committee.
We are also an Approved Training Practice for local GP training,undergraduate nursing students from City University and medical students fromBarts & The Royal London.

Job responsibilities
To provide routine and urgent care services.Provision of 5 - 6 patient surgeries per week spread evenly across working days andmornings/afternoons
Participate in the Duty Doctor rota (at least 1session/week)
Participate in the extended hours programme = 2sessions/month 6:30pm-7:30pm (remunerated separately).
Home visiting as required.
Providing services through special clinics ,child health surveillance, antenatal care and womens health as appropriate.
Lead and participate in Practice based researchand audits.
Participating in Practice meetings and MDT meetings and protected learning time events.
Participating in CCG meetings and local academicmeetings, where appropriate.
Participating in Practice developments, and thelocal Poplar & Limehouse Health and Wellbeing network.
Keep up to date with appraisal and opportunitiesto lead specified clinical areas within practice for QOF and Enhanced Services.
Participate in the practices undergraduateteaching programme and assist with the training of other trainees as required.
17. Provide support and supervision when required to the primary health care team, including nursing team, pharmacists etc
18. Alongside the other partners, provide clinical and non-clinical leadership within the practice.
