Technical Trainer – ICL VME
Location: Remote in the UK - must have full rights to work and be in country
Contract: Outside IR35
Day rate: circa £650
Part time (3 days a week over 8 weeks)

Are you an expert in ICL VME with a passion for teaching? We are on the lookout for a Technical Trainer who can provide entry-level training on VME SCL language, S3 coding, and MVE support. With VME expertise becoming increasingly rare, this is a unique opportunity to share your knowledge and shape the next generation of VME specialists.
What You’ll Be Teaching
* VME SCL Language & S3 Coding – Training on core scripting and coding.
* MVE Support – Ensuring operational efficiency in VME/MVE environments.
* VME Superstructure Support – A plus if you have experience in this area.
Additional Focus Areas (Desirable)
* VME Services: VPaaS (VME Platform as a Service) & VAS (VME Applications as a Service) Managed Services.
* VME Software Development: HostTalk Toolset, MVE & VME Operating Platforms, Superstructure Software Development.
* VME Support: Problem Diagnosis & Resolution.
* VME Architecture: Infrastructure & System Design.
* Service Management: ACM (Availability & Capacity Management), SQA (Service Quality Assurance), QoS (Quality of Service).
✅ What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience with ICL VME, including development, support, or system architecture.
* Strong ability to translate complex technical concepts into easy-to-understand training material.
* Passionate about mentoring and knowledge-sharing within the tech community.
* Experience in delivering structured training programs is a plus.
* Clear, confident communication in English is required
