UNQUALIFIED Learning Support Assistant – Barry £83.85 per day Monday – Friday (Full time and part time role available) 8:30 – 3:30 – No weekends! The School: The school is based in Barry in the Vale of Glamorgan and is a primary school, catering for students from Nursery, all the way up to Year 6. The school has a large intake of students with Additional Learning Needs and often requre their Teaching Assistant's to assist on a 1:1 basis. The school aims to promote and develop pupils' learning, self-esteem, behaviour and confidence by providing rich and individualised learning opportunities for them to develop their skills and understanding, and create an exciting school community which is child-centred, empowering and inclusive. The Role: As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be required to support the young people in both their personal and educational development based on their individual development plan. This will be provided to you by the school via their assessment process to help aid you in how to support the young person. The support will be both in and outside the classroom. Providing a positive mental attitude and promoting independence within the school will be essential to ensure a strong relationship is built with both you and the young person, as well as creating a positive correlation between the young person and education. You will be provided training to ensure you are in a confident position to support the students. This will be provided from both Teaching Personnel and the school.
