The Role
We are partnered with an exciting manufacturing company seeking an experienced Quality Engineer to provide a specialist technical support function to their manufacturing process through comprehensive conformance engineering. This role will work as part of the Quality Engineering team and will be accountable for efficiently delivering conforming products on time in full (OTIF) to meet customer commitments.
This role supports the continuous improvement of process and engineering resolutions to complex, multi-disciplined challenges.
Core Duties
1. Directly supporting manufacturing operations to deliver products right first time achieving optimum process efficiencies.
2. Eradicating process variability and implementing robust process controls, including the support of New Product Introduction (NPI).
3. Interfacing with internal and external stakeholders to represent the process engineering team and wider company.
4. Contributing to the material review boards and reduction in concession applications.
5. Ensure processes are compliant with customer requirements.
Experience
1. Degree educated engineer (or suitable experience) with experience within a manufacturing environment.
2. Effective and confident communicator with experience in presenting technical proposals to a diverse population of colleagues.
3. Strong working knowledge of key engineering tools, industry gateways and metrics such as SQDCP, APQP/PPAP, MSA, PPS/8D, PFMEA, SPC.
