What will I be doing?
* Design and Engineering: Produce electrical designs for DNO/IDNO/Private networks, including cable calculations, earthing systems, HV substation layouts, and single-line diagrams.
* Technical Documentation: Create bills of quantities, prepare technical reports, and manage design approvals with UK DNOs/IDNOs.
* Project Coordination: Oversee engineering design, liaise with clients, external consultancies, and manufacturers, and ensure equipment suitability.
* Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure designs comply with Electricity at Work, H&S, ESQCR, and CDM regulations, while identifying and mitigating risks.
* Project Leadership: Lead projects from start to handover, support the Project Delivery Team, manage design changes, and maintain project timelines.

* Estimating & Reporting: Support the estimating process and provide regular progress updates.
What do I need to succeed?
We're after someone with at least an HNC in Electrical Engineering and hands-on experience designing LV to 33kV projects. Experience with HV substation designs to DNO/IDNO specs? Even better! A solid grasp of British Standards and G81 is essential, and AutoCAD proficiency is a must. If you've worked with Amtech, Revit, or CDEGS, that's a bonus but not a dealbreaker!
What's in it for me?
This role offers a salary of up to £60,000 per year, a Monday-to-Friday schedule (40 hours per week), and the flexibility of hybrid working (just one day in the office per month!).
