Your new role Our client are looking for a skilled Data Business Analyst to join their team. You will work between business and technology, translating complex business requirements into actionable technical specifications for migrating legacy systems to a modern cloud platform. Conduct workshops and surveys to gather data migration requirements. Create customer journey maps and comprehensive documentation. Identify and document functional and non-functional requirements. Work with data engineers to create mapping specifications. Define transformation logic for complex scenarios. Ensure alignment with system architecture and business requirements. Analyse legacy system data structures for optimisation. Design data validation and reconciliation processes. Define and validate reporting suite requirements. Create technical specifications, including data models and API definitions. Ensure alignment with business requirements and system architecture. Develop test cases and scripts. Support UAT and SIT, managing defects and re-testing. Collaborate with QA teams to resolve data quality issues. Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking project activities. Design customer migration frameworks. Provide status updates and risk assessments What you'll need to succeed Experience in data migration and transformation. Familiarity with ETL processes, APIs, and cloud data architecture. Experience with Power BI is a plus. Knowledge of Agile and Waterfall methodologies. Proficiency in business analysis tools, including DevOps and Visio. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills. What you'll get in return A contract role lasting for an initial period of up to eleven months, paying up to £650 per day. The IR35 status is to be confirmed.
