Role Overview STEM Recruitment Solutions is proud to partner with a leading organisation in the scientific industry to recruit a skilled Maintenance Engineer. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the efficiency and reliability of plant operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair equipment breakdowns, liaising with external contractors as required. Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures. Execute planned preventative maintenance programmes. Maintain spare parts inventory and perform Health & Safety assessments. Create and manage accurate documentation to ensure regulatory compliance. Review and manage maintenance contracts. Conduct quality inspections to uphold standards. Monitor and control maintenance costs effectively. Supervise external contractors and oversee procurement processes. Candidate Requirements Essential: Experience working in a regulated environment, ideally scientific. HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, OR a Time-Served Electrical/Mechanical Engineer. Desirable: Experience with regulatory audits. Proficiency in PLC programming. Knowledge of CMMS systems. Role Details & Benefits Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 (dependent on experience). Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Overtime available 30 days paid annual leave, plus 4 Scottish statutory holidays. Benefits: Employer pension and Critical Illness Insurance.
