Qatar Academy Doha is seeking a Lead teacher for our Art & Design department to join our collaborative and vibrant teaching team from G6 to Grade 10 for the 2025-26 school year.
We are seeking a passionate, enthusiastic Art & Design Lead Teacher to join our collaborative and vibrant teaching team starting in August 2025.
The position would appeal to a teacher who had training and qualifications to Lead and teach at the MYP levels in Design.
The MYP Art & Design Lead Teacher is responsible to lead and support a team of teacher in the development and implementation of the curriculum.
Monitor and manage curriculum documents; ensure completeness of scope and sequence documents, and ensure that unit plans and lesson plans are updated as required
Ensure that classroom environments and team areas provide a supportive learning environment, and reflect student work and the school culture
Facilitate meetings that are focused on student learning, and model a collaborative planning process
teaching and developing the approved curriculum in area of expertise, managing student behavior, and carrying out teaching duties as outlined in the school handbook.
The successful candidate for this position will be willing to be part of a collaborative team who values kindness, builds strong relationships and demonstrates respect and integrity.
They will also:
• Work in partnership with parents in providing a quality education experience for all the children
• Coordinate with the grade level team and specialists, plans and delivers a program of study designed to teach the curricular standards, benchmarks and outcomes, while meeting the individual needs, interests and abilities of the student, for the enhancement of student learning.
• Conducting interesting, well-planned and well-paced classes, using a variety of instructional techniques, differentiation, strategies, and media appropriate to the lesson and the needs and capabilities of the students; Advising students on ways to improve and maintain performance.
• Be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons according to PUE and regulatory safeguarding requirements including but not limited to the provisions of the PUE Child Protection Policy
He / She would also be a part of the largest school in the QF family with over 1713 students, Qatar Academy Doha (QAD) is organized into Primary and Senior School divisions.

Qualifications & Experience:
-Bachelor’s degree in education-related field or relevant subject matter.
-Minimum 4 years of International Baccalaureate DP/MYP experience is a must.
-Must have attested teaching certification or PGCE equivalent credentials
-Teaching Certification / Bachelor’s Degree (must be a face-to-face qualification - online qualifications are not recognised by Qatar).
-Teaching couples must be married as per Qatari work visa requirements.
-Clear criminal record and background check.
-Clear medical history for HIV, Hepatitis B and C, and Tuberculosis.
