Job Title Human Resources Advisor Department Business Partnering Location Homebased with occasional travel Reports to HR Business Partner Accountable to Senior HR Business Partner and Head of HR Business Partnering Job Purpose/Summary. The post holder will support the HR Business Partner in the delivery of a professional, high quality HR service to their designated geographical area (place). They will provide professional advice to managers and employees on the full range of HR matters including relevant employment legislation and support the HR Business Partner with a defined Employee Relations remit for their designated region(s), including formal absence meetings, disciplinaries and consultations e.g. TUPE. Key relationships: Head of People Business Partnering, HR Advisors / HR Business Partners / Senior HR Business Partner, Other People Services teams i.e. Reward, Talent Acquisition, Talent & Devlopment, Payroll team, People Services Team, Trade Union Representatives, MC Occupational Health provider, Other professional bodies as required e.g. CIPD, ACAS Accountabilities. Duties & Responsibilities: Work with HR colleagues and the wider HR team to ensure that the services provided meet both the needs of region(s) supported and the wider charity objectives. Provide professional advice and assistance to managers on misconduct and capability issues and act as the HR representative at designated disciplinary/capability meetings. Act as mediator between parties in situations of conflict either informally or as part of a mediated solution. Prepare and distribute management reports and information to senior managers which will inform and assist managers to develop (in conjunction with the HRBP) appropriate action plans. E.g. in relation to monitoring sickness absence and managing performance etc. Advise on maternity, paternity and adoption cases as required. Proactively manage both long and short term sickness cases, advising managers on appropriate action and liaising with the charity's Occupational Health Provider as Marie Curie Job Description required as well as carrying out Attendance Review meetings with operational managers. Involvement in local interviewing as and when required. Deliver local workshops on HR related topics as and when required. Undertake designated project work as required. Ensure that electronic and paper records to satisfy company procedures and statutory requirements. Work in partnership with the People Operations & Payroll team in resolving customer queries within agreed timescales, proactively meeting their requirements and supporting colleagues in meeting the overall objectives of the Business Partnering team.
