Student Services Officer – Support
17.5 hours per week
Salary: DA9, £35,171 - £38,156 per annum (pro rata to £17,586 - £19,078)
Campus: Arbroath
We are looking for someone who can provide diverse student services support in our Arbroath Campus. You will provide individualised support for young people and adults attending College. The students you will work alongside will have a range of additional support needs such as mental health difficulties, neurodivergent conditions, specific learning differences, sensory difficulties, and long-term health conditions. You will work both on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to assist students in developing their skills and confidence.
We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who has experience working alongside individuals with mental health and wellbeing concerns. This role requires patience and good problem-solving abilities to find individual support options for students to help them achieve their educational goals.
You will work closely with Lecturers and Curriculum and Quality Leaders to ensure students are progressing well and that tailored supports and assessment options are in place. Additionally, you will offer support and advice to academic staff to ensure they have current and relevant information related to the needs of students. You will also provide wider advice and information to students to ensure they have all the necessary information regarding starting college and progressing through their studies.
