Message from Trystan Williams (Executive Headteacher)
I took up the position as Executive Headteacher at E-ACT Venturers' Academy in April 2024, and I am immensely proud to lead a school that provides exceptional education to both mainstream learners and children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). With over 22 years of leadership experience in the education sector, I continue to be driven by my commitment to ensuring that all learners, regardless of background or ability, have the opportunity to succeed and thrive in a supportive and inclusive environment.
E-ACT Venturers' Academy serves the communities of Bristol and is one of the flagship SEND provisions in the region. As Executive Headteacher, I am passionate about enhancing the quality of education for the most vulnerable children, advocating for greater SEND provision both locally and nationally. I work closely with staff to break down barriers to success, ensuring that we provide the highest standard of education and care.
My vision for E-ACT Venturers' Academy is to be a centre of excellence in special education, where our young people are empowered to overcome adversity and become active, positive members of their communities. Our recent achievement of being named one of the Top 3 schools globally for the World’s Best School Prize for Overcoming Adversity is a testament to the dedication and resilience of both our students and staff.
As Executive Headteacher, I am committed to fostering a professional, cohesive staff team, who are united by the desire to 'think big' and 'do what is right.' Staff wellbeing and professional development are at the heart of everything we do, and I strive to create an environment where colleagues feel valued and supported in their professional growth.
