Junior Sister/Charge Nurse Emergency & Urgent Care

We are looking for an experienced Emergency Nurse who is interested in developing their skills in the role of Junior Sister/Charge Nurse at Withybush General Hospital, Haverfordwest.
The role combines clinical practice (care-coordination), leadership, management, and supervision of the Emergency Department nursing team. You will be a role model to the staff, designing and preparing the team for future challenges.
Main duties of the job
Applicants should have recent Emergency Nursing experience and be able to demonstrate evidence of care coordination, clinical competence in triage, critical care assessment, and supervisory management.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications and Knowledge
* Current NMC Registration
* Experience working as a Band 5 Registered Nurse in an emergency setting
* BSc/ Diploma in Nursing or equivalent specialised experience gained over time
* ALS/ EPLS

* Experience in Emergency/Acute/Critical Care
* Leadership and diplomacy
* Teaching experience/mentorship
* Focus and calm in crisis
* Be aware of current activities in "Reforming Emergency Care"
* Prioritisation and organisation
* Application of specialised Emergency knowledge in practice
* Identification of crisis Clinical Governance developments
* Adherence to NMC Code
* Venepuncture and proceeding to IV Cannulation
* Lethal Cardiac Arrhythmia Recognition
* Basic Computer Skills
