Are you an experienced Forklift Truck (FLT) operator looking for a permanent opportunity? We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established builders merchant in Edinburgh and are seeking a skilled FLT operator to join their team permanently.
Position : Forklift Truck (FLT) Operator
Location : Edinburgh
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a forklift (counterbalance) to move and manage materials within the yard and warehouse.
* Load and unload deliveries for customers, ensuring correct handling of all goods.
* Maintain an organised and tidy warehouse environment with proper stock control.
* Assist with general warehouse duties when required, including picking orders and preparing materials for dispatch.
* Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
What We're Looking For:
* Valid FLT certification (counterbalance)
* Full UK drivers licence
* Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or builders merchant setting.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
* A team player with excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude.
* Commitment to upholding safety standards and working to high-quality standards.
