About the Role
We’re looking for experienced and dedicated Senior Care Assistants to join our team. As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in leading and supporting the care team, ensuring that residents receive the highest standard of care in a safe and homely environment. You’ll support both residents and colleagues, helping to maintain a positive, respectful, and caring atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver high-quality, person-centred care – Assist residents with daily living, including personal care, mobility support, and emotional well-being.
2. Lead by example – Provide guidance and support to care assistants, ensuring best practices are followed.
3. Administer medications – Safely manage and administer medication in line with company policies and procedures.
4. Support residents’ well-being – Monitor residents' health, identify changes in condition, and communicate effectively with nurses and healthcare professionals.
5. Maintain a safe and homely environment – Assist with light cleaning tasks to ensure a comfortable, welcoming space for residents.
6. Record-keeping and reporting – Maintain accurate care records and communicate updates to management and healthcare professionals.
What We’re Looking For
1. Previous experience in a care role – A background in social care is essential.
2. SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (or willingness to work towards it).
3. Experience in medication administration is desirable.
4. Leadership skills – Ability to support and mentor care assistants.
5. A compassionate, patient, and professional approach.
