Responsibilities: Oversee the finance department, ensuring efficient operations across key areas such as sales ledgers, purchase ledgers, bank reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews. Manage the credit control function, focusing on optimising debt recovery and minimising outstanding payments. Handle supplier payments, balancing relationship management and internal cash flow objectives. Prepare and present financial reports that offer insights to improve business performance. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including taxation, VAT, and audit regulations. Collaborate with project managers and the procurement team to monitor budgets for internal and external projects. Continuously assess and enhance financial processes to drive efficiency and accuracy across the business. Key Skills/Attributes & Experience: Previous experience in a finance leadership role, with a track record of managing teams. Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Excel, and familiarity with ERP systemsexperience with SAGE is highly desirable. Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present financial data clearly and concisely. Capable of working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
