We are actively seeking an environmental professional to join our growing Freshwater Environmental Appraisal team. In this crucial role you will work on a range of different water projects such freshwater EIA chapters, abstraction licence assessments, drought permit assessments, WFD compliance assessments and Habitats Regulations Assessments. Are you passionate applying science to protect the aquatic environment? Do you have a track record in an environmental science consultancy environment (or perhaps you come from a regulatory body, academic background or water company)? Can you work across multiple technical disciplines? Are you looking for a diverse project portfolio with a focus on freshwater? * A degree in an environmental scientific discipline (or equivalent professional experience), alongside at least 3 years' professional experience working in an environmental consultancy environment (or similar).
* Demonstrable understanding of relevant environmental legislation, particularly WFD.
* Ability to organise and coordinate multifaceted environmental project plans.
* Coordination, completion and review of water related environmental impact assessments (including HRA, EIA, WFD assessment).
* A high level of attention to detail and the ability to work to tight timeframes.
* Contributions to the delivery of large-scale environmental projects.
