Head of Software Engineering-Series C HealthTech
Our client is a series C HealthTech start-up. We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of Software Engineering to lead the engineering team. This role is crucial in shaping and executing their software development strategy, ensuring the delivery of innovative and reliable solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and proven leadership skills.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement a comprehensive software development strategy aligned with the company's mission and objectives.
2. Team Management: Lead, mentor, and expand a high-performing team of software engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
3. Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data science, product, and marketing, to integrate software solutions that enhance outcomes and user experiences.
4. Project Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end execution of software development projects, from ideation to deployment, ensuring they meet quality standards and timelines.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 8 years of experience in software engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
3. Proven track record of successfully leading software engineering teams and projects in Tech start-ups.
4. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Typescript, and experience with modern software development frameworks and tools.
5. Strong understanding of software architecture, cloud computing, and scalable system design.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
7. Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute methodically in a fast-paced environment.
