Secondary Teaching Assistant ( SEMH Experienced)
Location: South Shields
Salary: £75 to £100 per day
Contract: Temporary/Full-Time
Start: ASAP September term of 2024
GSL Education is seeking a dynamic and proactive Secondary Teaching Assistant (SEMH Experienced) to work in schools in South Shields.
About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join our supportive school community. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who have SEMH needs and will be committed to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Providing one-on-one and group support to students with SEMH needs.
* Assisting the classroom teacher with lesson preparation and classroom management.
* Developing and implementing individualized learning plans for students.
* Promoting a positive and nurturing environment to encourage student engagement and success.
* Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support student development.
Requirements:
* Previous experience working with secondary school students with SEMH needs.
* A compassionate and patient approach to supporting young people.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Relevant qualifications or training in SEMH support (desirable).
