An Independent Girls' school in Barnet is seeking a creative and enthusiastic Art Teacher for a permanent, full-time position commencing in September. The successful Art Teacher will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to explore their artistic talents and develop a lifelong appreciation for the arts. Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging Art Teacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, covering a variety of artistic disciplines. Prepare students effectively for GCSE Art and Design examinations, fostering their creative and technical skills. Cultivate a stimulating and inclusive studio environment where students feel encouraged to experiment and express themselves artistically. Assess and monitor student progress in art, providing thoughtful and constructive feedback as an Art Teacher. Contribute to the development of the art curriculum and the creation of enriching learning experiences. Encourage student participation in extracurricular art clubs and school-wide creative projects. Requirements Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Art and Design. Demonstrated experience in teaching Art at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4). A strong and comprehensive knowledge of diverse art forms, techniques, and historical contexts. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of inspiring creativity as an Art Teacher.
