Due to continued success, our large, reputable, multi-site client in the healthcare sector urgently wishes to recruit a HR Officer/Advisor. This is a new HR Officer job for a 1 year fixed term duration, with the possibility of leading to a permanent position.
The successful HR Officer will enjoy working within a busy, group-wide HR team, supporting the full range of HR services. This is a hands-on role with fantastic variety. The HR Officer will assist with probation processes, absence management, employee relations, employee retention, and ensuring HR systems are updated.
There may be some requirement to travel to offices around the Greater Belfast area, so it is essential that the HR Officer has a full driving license and access to a form of transport.
The Role:
* Provide advice and support to managers across the organisation in relation to HR policies and procedures (e.g., absence, maternity/paternity, probation, flexible working).
* Proactively manage absence, both short and long term.
* Lead the maternity/paternity process.
* Manage the probation process, attending final probationary review meetings.
* Lead the flexible working process.
* Provide advice and support in relation to investigations, disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management when required.
* Lead on employee retention initiatives.
* Manage employee administration, ensuring records are well maintained on PAMS.
* Process Access NI checks.
The Person:
* CIPD level 5 AND minimum of 2 years relevant HR generalist experience.
OR
* In the absence of CIPD, minimum of 5 years relevant HR experience.
* Ability to work in a team.
* Motivated and enthusiastic.
* Strong understanding of NI employment law.
* Full driving license and access to a form of transport (essential).
