Job summary Do you have a passion for working within an outpatient setting and would like to join our Outpatient service based at Surbiton Health Centre? We are looking for an enthusiastic committed and compassionate part time Healthcare Assistant, to work as part of our bank staff as a valued member of the nursing team, providing direct patient care under the supervision of a trained nurse. The Support Worker helps in a wide range of clinics including dermatology, orthopaedics, gynaecology, rheumatology, minor operations and vasectomies. Interviews are scheduled to take place on Thursday 10 April 2025 Main duties of the job To work alongside other professionals to ensure the smooth, safe running of the outpatient clinics. To undertake patient observations such as blood pressure, temperature, respiration and pulse, and record on the appropriate chart and to report any deviance from the norm to the nurse/doctor. Also, to collect and label urine, stool and sputum specimens when required. To record care given in patient records, after appropriate training has been given and under the supervision of the trained nurse. To always promote patient safety and to report any potential risks to the outpatient manager.
