The studio continues to innovate, producing timeless, nature-inspired pieces in their workshop.\n\nRequirements \n\nFor this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;\n\nDegree or Diploma in Production, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent\nLean Six Sigma certification (Yellow Belt, Green Belt, or higher) - desirable but not essentialIt is also preferred that you hold the experience below;\n\nProven experience in process optimisation, lean manufacturing, and quality assurance\nDemonstrated experience in creating and executing SOPs within a manufacturing settingAdditional skills; \n\nProficient utilisation of ERP / MRP systems\nExcellent time management skills, ability to prioritise tasks efficiently\nStrong written and verbal communication skills with an eye for detail\nFamiliarity with 3D modeling software (such as AutoCAD or equivalent)\nKnowledgeable of Lean Six Sigma methodologies (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping)\nIn-depth understanding of metal fabrication techniques, including grinding, welding, polishing, and assembly\nSolid understanding of ISO standards, quality management system and best practices for process documentationThe Role\n\nJob Title: Junior Production Engineer\nJob Type: Permanent\nLocation: London (Tottenham) \nReporting to: Production EngineerDuties\n\nReporting regularly and consistently to the Production Engineer\nOversee and revise Bills of Materials (BOMs) to ensure accurate and current material details\nSupport lean manufacturing efforts by streamlining processes, improving efficiency, and reducing waste\nAssist the Production Engineer in developing SOPs, optimizing processes and creating training initiatives\nSupport in diagnosing equipment or production issues, working to quickly identify and implement solutions\nEnsure adherence to quality control standards to reduce defects and enhance product consistency and dependability\nDeliver training to production teams on new SOPs, updated BOMs, and Lean practices to boost compliance, efficiency, and continuous improvement\nLiaise with production technicians on the shop floor, creating SOPs, verify adherence and pinpoint areas for workflow improvements\nDesign, document and enforce standard operating procedures for each phase of the production process, including fabrication, welding, assembly and surface finishing (patination/painting)\nSupport the design, manufacturing and quality assurance teams, ensuring standard operating procedures (SOPs), bills of materials (BOMs) and technical drawings are accurately aligned with industry best practices\nObserve production lines and assist in maintaining smooth operations by identifying and addressing any issues\nContribute to process optimization initiatives, suggesting ways to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance productivity\nFacilitate in monitoring product quality, ensure production standards and specifications are met and assist in addressing any quality issues \n\nThis is a permanent position with an excellent salary on offer for the successful candidate.
