Job Overview
Vital Group is seeking a highly organized and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our central company stock warehouse in Coventry. This role involves managing fast and slow-moving parts, controlling rental assets such as EV chargers, and maintaining our mobile Loadbank fleet and associated trailers. The Warehouse Manager will ensure compliance and maintenance of these assets, manage warranty claims and parts returns, and oversee logistics between customer premises and our Engineers. Additionally, the Warehouse Manager will be responsible for the site, offices, and their safety and security.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
* Warehouse Management: Oversee the central stock warehouse, managing inventory of fast and slow-moving parts.
* Asset Control: Manage rental assets including EV chargers and mobile Loadbank fleet.
* Compliance and Maintenance: Ensure compliance and maintenance of assets and associated trailers, to undertake statutory trailer inspections for B+E Category trailers.
* Personnel Management: Supervise and train the Stores person.
* Warranty and Returns: Handle all warranty claims and parts returns.
* Logistics Coordination: Manage logistics between customer premises and Engineers.
* Site Management: Ensure the safety and security of the warehouse site and offices.
* Parts and Consumables Ordering: Order parts and consumables across a wide portfolio of approved vendors.
* Inventory System Management: Maintain a 'location' based parts warehousing system with SKU control and bin locations.
* Stores person Management: Line-manage the Stores person, ensuring that the warehouse is safe, clean and stock is processed and booked-in/out and records updated.
* Critical Parts Stock: Ensuring that levels of registered critical parts, associated with key customers requirements are managed effectively, raising alarm when stocks fall due to supply-chain delays.
* Remote Warehouse Support: Support the stock control and inventory value of remote warehouses (Lock-ups) and the vans of mobile engineers.
* Inventory Software Utilization: Utilize the Mintsoft inventory management software in a disciplined fashion.
* 5S Standards Maintenance: Maintain the warehouse to 5S standards.
* Office and Facility Maintenance: Ensure the offices and facilities are cleaned and maintained to a standard aligned with our values.
Person Specification
Education, Qualifications & Experience Criteria
* Education: Supply chain management qualification, or a related field.
* Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in warehouse management or a similar role.
* Skills:
* Strong organizational and leadership skills.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
* Proficiency in inventory management software.
