Position Overview: We are currently seeking a highly skilled Psychiatrist for our team; this is a community role. The psychiatrist would work 2 outpatient clinics a week in addition to one clinic. The successful candidate needs to be flexible as the role includes home visits. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact in the community and contribute to the well-being of individuals in need. The position is a full-time locum job available for an initial period starting immediately for an initial period of 1 month.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Provide expert psychiatric assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to adult patients within the community.
2. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive care plans.
3. Offer leadership and support to junior medical staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and development.
4. Participate in regular team meetings, case conferences, and clinical reviews to enhance patient care.
5. Contribute to service improvement initiatives, working towards delivering high-quality mental health services.
Requirements:
1. Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) and a license to practice.
2. CCT in General Adult Psychiatry or equivalent.
3. Substantial experience in General Adult Psychiatry within a community setting.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
