Income Officer (Temporary Contract) Location: Worcester Hybrid (2-3 days in the office, rest remote) Contract: Until January, with potential for extension Rate: £22-£24 per hour (via umbrella) We're looking for an experienced Income Officer to join a housing team on a temporary basis. In this role, you'll manage rent arrears, service charges, and other debts within a specific area, taking the appropriate action to ensure income recovery. Key Responsibilities as an Income Officer: Handle all aspects of rent arrears and debt recovery, following policies and procedures to minimise arrears. Manage legal actions and serve the correct notices, with potential court appearances. Collaborate with Housing Benefit teams, DWP, and external agencies to secure tenant entitlements. Provide advice on financial inclusion and signpost to support services as needed. Work closely with Neighbourhood Officers and other teams to ensure effective service delivery. About You: Proven experience in income management, preferably in the housing sector. Strong communication and negotiation skills, with an empathetic approach to customer needs. Familiarity with housing benefit processes and financial support services. Ability to follow legal protocols in income recovery, including court procedures. Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively. Additional Information: Hybrid working model: 2-3 days in the office, with the remainder working from home.
