About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Team Leader to join our Violence Reduction Service at HMP Feltham. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a small team of project workers, managing a range of services designed to support young people and adults in custody. Your role will be crucial in delivering interventions aimed at reducing violence and gang involvement among prisoners, ultimately helping them to lead violence-free lives both in the establishment and the community.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage a team of project workers to deliver the Violence Reduction Service effectively.
* Engage with prison staff, stakeholders, partners, and service users to ensure efficient communication and case management.
* Collaborate with various services including prison, criminal justice, health, education, and the voluntary sector to promote and deliver our services.
* Provide a range of interventions, including early intervention for those at risk of gang involvement and exit programs for those deeply entrenched in gang lifestyles.
* Assess prisoners' risks and needs, using appropriate tools and implementing required risk alerts and procedures.
* Manage staff performance through supervision, appraisals, and training.
* Develop and facilitate training packages specific to the Violence Reduction Service.
* Ensure cases are managed effectively and services are delivered within agreed time-frames.
* Produce documents and reports outlining departmental and individual staff performance.

Additional Information
Closing Date: Friday 3rd of January 2025
Contract: Full Time - Permanent
Hours: 38 per week
Salary: from £35,000 per annum
