Outline of role
A Savers Apprentice Retail Manager’s role is all about delivering an exceptional shopping experience through your people. You will need to create a day to day working environment that is warm, supportive, and friendly. You will use your great delegation skills to get the job done. No day will ever be the same, making it a multi-tasker’s dream job!
You will work alongside your Store Manager using your local knowledge to maximise sales opportunities and profit. You will enjoy being part of the community and know your customers by name, making the store a friendly place to shop.
It’s a great experience that will prepare you for even bigger challenges. Savers Assistant Managers are extremely important to us; we recognise that you are our Store Managers of tomorrow.
As part of the programme, you will cover subjects such as Leadership, Business, Marketing, Communication, Merchandising, Diversity, Developing Self and Team Performance. These, together with bespoke workshops, one-to-one support, and mentoring, will ensure you realise your potential and achieve your goals.
You will also learn how to support individuals to develop a sound understanding of business and people management principles and achieve the objectives and values of the business, championing the way for personal development, training, and continuous improvement.
It’s a diverse role that includes leading and working with a wide range of teams across our business. We will actively develop your skills and offer real career progression supported by our award-winning in-house training and Apprenticeship team.

1. Experience within a fast-paced high street retailer
2. Basic understanding of retail Key Performance Indicators; including sales, profit, and service
3. Line manager experience in a customer-facing role

Qualification: Retail Manager L4
You qualify if ...
• You have a minimum of Grade C / 4 GCSE (or equivalent) in English
• You have a minimum of Grade C / 4 GCSE (or equivalent) in Maths
• You are NOT currently at college or 6th form and are available for full-time shifts
• You are eligible to work in the UK
