A successful candidate will be data driven and logical, with excellent communication and business partnering skills. They will want to work closely with Commercial Business teams, FP&A and Business Intelligence to complete analysis and modelling projects. Your main responsibilities will include: 1. Leveraging data and analytics as a competitive advantage, providing strategic insights and recommendations to support the organisation's long-term financial goals and objectives, in particular. 2. Maintaining and updating the Group Long Term Plan 3. Supporting fact-based business decisions by providing analysis and information (including financial business cases), along with actionable recommendations where appropriate. In particular completing: - Commercial analysis on a wide range of areas such as; product costings, subscription, networks and events customer behaviour trends, cost areas including commission schemes and lead and opportunity tracking, amongst other areas. - Scenario modelling for commercial propositions and for budgeting and forecasting. - Support tasks for budgeting and forecasting processes. 4. Support Mergers and Acquisitions activity through financial analysis. About You We are looking for someone who is; Above all, intellectually curious, and open-minded. Enjoys digging into data, identifying trends and producing models and concise summaries of the findings. Able to gather and organise findings into recommendations and able to report and present on these. Able to simplify technical financial concepts to others with varying levels of knowledge. Detail orientated. An excellent communicator (verbal and written) with strong interpersonal skills. Able to operate in a level of ambiguity. Welcomes working in a high profile role with senior management across the business. Has experience of, or is willing to learn SQL coding. Qualification & Experience Essential; Strong academics. Financial certification; ACA, CIMA. 3 years in commercial roles. Strong excel abilities, including to design, build and maintain reliable and meaningful financial models. Desirable; Other data analysis tools experience welcome, e.g. Power BI, Tableau, SQL Knowledge of Navision (Dynamics) and Jet reports.
