Salary: £28,344 to £55,816 based on qualifications and experience, plus relocation allowance and visa costs if required.

The CRUK Scotland Institute is a cancer research institute, situated in Glasgow with approximately 250 researchers split across 30 research groups consisting of PIs, postdoctoral scientists, PhD students and scientific officers. It is one of Europe's leading cancer research centres, supporting cutting-edge work into the molecular mechanisms of cancer development. As well as core support from Cancer Research UK, the Institute also receives an additional third of its total income from external grants and industry collaborations. Project outline
We currently have a position available with the Colorectal Cancer and Wnt Signalling, and Preclinical Pancreatic Cancer groups within the CRUK Scotland Institute. This position forms part of an exciting collaborative research programme, “Engineered Genetic Control Systems for Advanced Therapeutics”, funded as a UKRI Engineering Biology Mission Hub. You will join an exciting and dynamic team investigating and developing the use of synthetic gene delivery as a new approach for effective cancer treatment.
You will be responsible for collaborative research projects both within the CRUK Scotland Institute and external groups, utilising world-leading in vitro and in vivo models of cancer. A key feature of your role will also be providing support for our early researchers. Ideal candidates will have a PhD in a relevant field, while good organisational and people skills and the ability to multitask and act as a team player will also be very important.
