Nottinghamshire County Council adult social care MASH (multi-agency safeguarding hub) is seeking a Social Worker. This is a desk-based role which does not include visits. It is predominantly home-based but you would ideally be in the office once per week. Pay rate is £34.91 umbrella. The role will involve the following: Complete first line of enquiries into safeguarding concerns, should it be suspected an adult has experienced abuse or neglect within Nottinghamshire (in line with and establishing safeguarding thresholds). Progress cases to full Section 42 Enquiries (completed by locality teams)/ or close as proportionate. Be part of a hybrid approach to office working (currently office attendance being once/twice per week). Complete end to end Safeguarding enquires where a face to face/ visit is not required. Cause others to investigate matters relating to safeguarding, where thresholds are met and proportionate to do so. Work in a fast-paced environment completing between 3 – 5 first line of enquiries per day. Be part of the continual service development within the MASH. Multiagency partnership working to include working closely with MASH Police & MASH Health. Ensure work is completing in line with Safeguarding principles of the Care Act and Making Safeguarding Personal. Requirements of the roles: Qualified Social Worker Social Work England registered Must have demonstrable knowledge of adult safeguarding, thresholds, risk assessment and decision-making Must be able to work well in a fast-paced environment Must have good understanding of legislation and guidance relevant to the role (e.g., Care Act Safeguarding Principles, Making Safeguarding Personal & Mental Capacity Act).
