An alternative provision school easily commutable from Colchester, Chelmsford and Maldon is seeking an outstanding and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join them immediately. The successful applicant will be confident supporting students with challenging behaviour aged from 5 to 16 who have been removed from mainstream schools. The right LSA must have experience in this setting before.
It is essential that the school provides pupils with continuity; therefore, the successful applicant must be reliable and resilient. The school believes in providing a rich and varied curriculum that includes music therapy and horse riding.
The successful LSA will be working with children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties. Such pupils can be disruptive, aggressive and consequently difficult to support. It will be raising self-esteem at every opportunity, ensuring a consistent approach to the child's behavioural difficulties and encouraging the provision of a positive classroom environment.
